LJ-Sec Tutorial

LJ-SEC HOW TO

MOVING A JOURNAL

I just did it for http://karma-apple.insanejournal.com/ and it worked beautifully.

1) DOWNLOAD LJ-sec, run it.
2) Change the configuration to GJ

3) Login
4) Select the posts you want to move. MAKE SURE TO SELECT FO ENTRIES IF YOU WANT THEM

5) Journal --> repost entries

6) Input your information, make sure to change the interface to IJ (or wherever you are going)

7) Done.

MOVING A COMMUNITY

Follow the above, but before step 3 click 'get subscribed communities'

Choose the one you want to post from.

MOVING TO A COMMUNITY

During step 6 unclick 'backdate entries' and click 'get subscribed communities'

Choose the one you want to post to.

(You can combine these obviously if you are moving from a comm to a comm)

Unfortunately this isn't an error in the program it is an error at GJ. Their database is probably so shot it can't handle the requests anymore :\

I would suggest trying at a different time of the day? That's all the advice I can give you, unfortunately.
